Each police unit will get a dedicated Surveillance and Security Team. These teams, which carry out activities in the lower tier of the Surveillance and Security System, should reduce the pressure on the basic teams. How to add intelligence-driven thinking and operations to your daily work? What is going on in a particular area, how do you find out and add the information to reports? And lastly, how to operate as a link in a larger intelligence chain?
During this course, participants learn to conduct in-depth online research (using, e.g., Clearweb, Deepweb and Darkweb). They learn to use advanced search techniques effectively and about the current options for social media investigation (SOCMINT) and geolocation. When they have completed the training programme, participants will be able to set up their own investigation environment by using Virtual Machines, VPNs and standard OSINT tooling.
TGA developed this training for the Advanced Search Teams (AST) of the Dutch Airborne Brigade. The programme focuses on gathering intelligence and evidence under operational pressure.
